There are so many active players in the ongoing Wano Arc, and it is understandable if some manga fans have already forgotten about Hiyori Kozuki for a moment. She has not been seen for a while now, but with Momonosuke’s life in grave danger, it would not be surprising to see her back in “One Piece” chapter 986.
Will Hiyori finally show up in ‘One Piece’ chapter 986?
To recap, Hiyori is Oden’s other child who survived the fire two decades ago. Unlike Momonosuke, she did not time travel and stayed in Wano so she is a beautiful, grown woman in the present timeline. The last time fans saw her was in a chapter released last September where she decided not to be reunited with everyone else to allow them to focus on the war.
Situations have drastically changed since then, especially with Momonosuke’s execution about the happen in “One Piece” chapter 986. While it was implied that Luffy and Yamato will attempt to save him, it would also make sense for Hiyori to be the one to finish the job. It can be recalled that Hiyori commented in an earlier chapter that her reunion with her brother should be delayed until Orochi is defeated. With Orochi now dead, it increases the chance for Hiyori to join the alliance.
Hiyori can enter Onigashima undetected since it has been established that one of her skills is to deceive and trick people. On the other hand, Eiichiro Oda could be reserving Hiyori’s return for something more important in the Wano Arc. After all, saving Momonosuke in “One Piece” chapter 986, along with the possibility of fighting the Tobi Roppo again, might be a good opportunity to show the chemistry between Luffy and Yamato.
