Dave Franco is one of the actors that have been starring in the first two movies of the “Now You See Me” franchise. Avid fans of the series will likely see him again once “Now You See Me 3” hits the theaters as he previously mentioned wanting to star in as many installments as he can.
‘Now You See Me 3’ cast: Dave Franco is likely to reprise role as Jack Wilder
At this point, updates on the making of “Now You See Me 3” are still scarce. However, the possibility of seeing the series become a trilogy is not entirely impossible considering what the producers and some of the cast have said about working on a third film.
Franco was interviewed by MTV, a month after the second magic-themed thriller was released, where it was implied that nothing concrete was planned yet for “Now You See Me 3.” However, when asked if he would come back as the sleight of hand illusionist Jack Wilder, Franco had a very clear response.
“Absolutely, I wanna do as many installments of this movie as possible,” Franco said when asked about returning for “Now You See Me 3.” “I hope to, you know, many years from now, be promoting ‘Now You See Me 29’ and I’ll keep going as long as they let us.”
The actor also mentioned that one of the reasons he would come back is the actors he works with in “Now You See Me.” In the same interview, Franco mentioned having a good relationship with the cast and that he can laugh with “more than most people” in his life.
It is also impossible not to see Franco return for “Now You See Me 3” since his character is one of the Four Horsemen. The group of talented illusionists and magicians who have just been recruited to an elite secret society called the Eye.
‘Now You See Me 3’ release date: Movie still unannounced
It is not unusual for movie distributors to assign a premiere date for a movie even though it has not completed filming yet. However, that has yet to happen for “Now You See Me 3” since it seems like there is no concrete timeline for its production at this point.
This only tells fans that a release date in 2020 is highly impossible. Meanwhile, a report from We Got This Covered recently claimed that Lionsgate has already started contacting the cast likely to sign them for “Now You See Me 3.”
