“NCIS” season 16 episode 12 will show Leroy Jethro Gibbs going to an unexpected trip with an old friend. The special agent was also forced to abandon an ongoing investigation as the said friend pleaded for help.
“NCIS” season 16 episode 12 is called “The Last Link,” and its synopsis reads: “An old family friend pleads with Gibbs to join him on a road trip to search for a missing military ID bracelet; a Navy lieutenant in NCIS protective custody is poisoned by an infamous drug dealer.”
As stated, Leroy Gibbs is currently looking into the death of a Navy Lieutenant in “NCIS” season 16 episode 12. The man is a witness against a big drug syndicate, and apparently, he was poisoned so he can be silenced.
This is a complicated case in “NCIS” season 16 episode 12 because the lieutenant was in the protective custody of the NCIS when he was killed. It is clear that someone from the group that is supposed to protect him is on the enemy’s side and this made it easy to murder the witness.
Now, even if this is an important case, Gibbs left it in the hands of his team because he was somewhat persuaded by Army Corporal John Sydney (Dabney Coleman) to come with him and help locate a missing army I.D. band. Based on the promo video of “NCIS” season 16 episode 12, Corporal Sydney and Gibbs were close friends but something happened between them that led to a falling out, and they had been estranged since then.
Moreover, Gibbs did not initially agree when John Sydney asked Gibbs for help with finding an I.D. bracelet, but he accepted later on, so they traveled to Stillwater, Pennsylvania, their hometown, to find the item. Fans will get to know what the bracelet is for and what it means to the two former friends when “NCIS” season 16 episode 12 airs next week.
“NCIS” season 16 episode 12 will be on broadcast on Jan. 15 at 8 p.m. ET on CBS.
