If there is one thing about the retirement of All Might in the third season of “My Hero Academia” that everyone feared, it is the villains becoming emboldened. His absence will likely be most palpably felt in “My Hero Academia” Season 4 where his power could have prevented so many disasters. Could his retirement lead to the death of an important character? Speaking of which, the breakup between Funimation and Crunchyroll is causing its own set of confusion among viewers.
As ScreenRant recently reported, the first season of “My Hero Academia” has already been removed from Crunchyroll. This marked the beginning of the end with regards to the relationship between the streaming site and its former partner, Funimation. At this point, it isn’t clear which is staying and which is going. This is causing some concern over “My Hero Academia” Season 4.
To start with, there is now the question of whether or not there will be dubbed versions of “My Hero Academia” Season 4 episodes in Crunchyroll. If the dubbed episodes were courtesy of Funimation, the answer is likely a no. With that being the case, some users might have to change subscriptions if they prefer English dubbing over subs.
This preference could have a profound impact on how fans will experience the various dramatic scenes in “My Hero Academia” Season 4. With there being at least one expected death of an important character, fans will want to ensure that their experience is as authentic as possible. The loss can be especially grating when taking All Might’s retirement into consideration.
After all, the most powerful hero could have been good enough to actually beat the villains without sacrificing anyone, but this is a moot point. He is retired by the time “My Hero Academia” Season 4 premieres. When October comes around, the newer heroes will need to take up his mantle and the burdens that come with it.
