Production for “My Hero Academia” Season 4 has officially been greenlit. The fourth season of the superhero anime series was confirmed at the end of the subtitled version of the Season 3 finale on Crunchyroll. “My Hero Academia, TV anime season four, is being made!” reads the subtitle.
But given the series’ success, news of “My Hero Academia” Season 4 should not come as a surprise. In fact, the show has already been setting things up for the upcoming season by introducing the U.A. Academy's Big Three of Mirio Togata, Nejire Hado, and Tamaki Amajiki, and Kai Chisaki, the insane villain known as Overhaul.
The upcoming season will likely cover the Internship Arc since Overhaul is the main antagonist of the arc in the manga. Viewers should see a lot of the Big Three as well since they play an integral part in the story.
Studio Bones did not announce the premiere date for “My Hero Academia” Season 4, but many believe it will come out in April 2019 since seasons one, two and three have all premiered in the month of April.
“There is currently no official date for the start of season four. All we know is that it’s ‘coming soon’. Although we don’t know exactly when our heroes will be back, we can speculate. The time between seasons one, two and three all seem to be a year apart. Furthermore, all prior seasons have started in the month of April,” Jabari Walker said in his report for The Nerd Stash.
“If they would like to keep the same consistency, then I would go ahead and say we can expect something by April of 2019,” he added.
While waiting for “My Hero Academia” Season 4, fans can check out the new “My Hero Academia: Two Heroes” movie, which is now out in the United States, Canada, and Australia. It will premiere in the United Kingdom and New Zealand in the middle of October.
