The previous chapter of “My Hero Academia” was one of the most jarring that was ever released in the manga. The simple fact that a Quirk is responsible for turning someone completely psychotic changes perspectives quite a bit. On top of that, there is also the matter of Toga’s evolving power that was amply showcased when she killed her opponents. It would seem that the League of Villains will gradually surpass the Quirk Liberation Army in “My Hero Academia” Chapter 227 and beyond.
As OtakuKart reports, Toga certainly proved herself to be one of the most enthralling characters in the show and for good reason. She is not a typical villain with a backstory that readers can get behind. She is simply psychotic as a result of her Quirk and “My Hero Academia” Chapter 227 will hopefully talk more about that.
With regards to the rest of the villains in the league, it would appear that a good old fashioned learning on the job is coming up. Just as Toga unleashed her Quirk’s true potential, so could the rest of her group members improve as they fight the QLA. Shigaraki might even be able to obtain Gigantomachia’s approval, at this rate. Readers will have to wait until “My Hero Academia” Chapter 227 to find out.
Whatever the case may be, it’s clear that this is not just some pointless segue for the story. It’s clear that the author is aiming for something specific by investing in this arc and it is paying off. Fans are already going crazy over Toga’s character development. Who will next be on the uplifting box in “My Hero Academia” Chapter 227?
As to why this is so important, it simply has to do with the league regaining its place as a true threat. Without All-For-One, the group has lost much of its prestige. This is a chance for the league to match the heroes and “My Hero Academia” Chapter 227 is where it will build more on the matter. Readers will see this for themselves when it comes out on May 13.
