Bellisio Foods Inc. is recalling approximately 3,927 lbs of not-ready-to-eat (NRTE) spaghetti with meat sauce product due to misbranding and an undeclared allergen.
The products subject to recall include an 8.5-oz paperboard tray with lid packages of frozen Michelina’s Spaghetti with Meat Sauce, according to the US Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS).
The Jackson, Ohio-based Bellisio Foods discovered soy-containing ingredients the recalled product that does not normally contain soy.
The items, produced on April 22, 2021, and bearing establishment number EST. 18297 inside the USDA mark of inspection, were shipped to retail locations nationwide.
The agency warned consumers against consuming the affected products and said it should be thrown away or returned to the place of purchase.
