Michael Schumacher’s health is still a mystery but in a rare chance, his wife Corinna finally opens up after a long time. Almost five years since his accident that left him in a coma for weeks, this is the first time that his family shared an update since making the decision of keeping the progress of his recovery a secret.
As reported on Daily Telegraph, Corinna Schumacher wrote a letter where she described her husband as a “fighter.” It was said that the note was a reply to German musician Sascha Herchenbach’s nice gesture of writing and sending a new song titled “Born to Fight.”
Apparently, it was meant to boost Michael Schumacher and his family’s morale following the devastating accident. However, the exact date of when the letter was sent was not known.
“I would like to sincerely thank you for your message and nice gift that will help us through this difficult time,” Corinna wrote. “It is good to receive so many kind wishes and other well-intentioned words - which is a great support for our family. We all know Michael is a fighter and will not give up.”
The musician revealed the letter to Bunte, a German magazine, just last week. After showing the letter, he said that he did not expect to get a reply so he was really happy when he got it from Corinna Schumacher. He added that Schumi’s wife said that his gift really helped the family too so he was overwhelmed as well.
Although there were no specific details, it seems that Michael Schumacher is doing fine in his home. He is still being treated and hanging on.
Michael Schumacher was in this state because of his severe head injury after he hit a rock while skiing in 2013. It is believed that he is being cared for by a team of medical experts, in his home in Switzerland. As to when he might appear in public again, no one really knows because even the exact details of his health remained unknown up to now.
