Melania Trump proudly posed in front of the cameras to give her supporters an update regarding the ongoing renovation of the so-called tennis pavilion at the White House. However, her critics criticized her for it.
The thousands of negative remarks that the first lady received encouraged her to fire back at them on Twitter.
“I encourage everyone who chooses to be negative and question my work at the @WhiteHouse to take time and contribute something good and productive in their own communities. #BeBest,” she tweeted.
Unfortunately, this didn’t stop some netizens from slamming her even more. Twitter user @AngelaBelcamino asked the FLOTUS why she thinks renovating or building a tennis pavilion at the White House is considered a community service.
“Most would agree that Melania Trump would go down as the most useless @FLOTUS in history. An unqualified grifter who stood up for no one. #BeBest,” she wrote in a follow-up post.
Twitter user @4everNeverTrump mocked the first lady for calling her ongoing project a tennis pavilion when it’s not even a tennis court.
“You’re just overseeing the construction of a glorified gazebo,” he wrote in a follow-up post.
Twitter user @eugenegu encouraged Melania to keep herself busy with other things including talking to her husband, Donald Trump.
“I encourage you to speak to your husband, Donald Trump, who falsely accused the Central Park 5 of rape and paid the New York Times to publicly call for their brutal executions. That was not #BeBest. And he has still not apologized to this day. That’s not #BeBest either,” she wrote.
“Your husband put immigrants’ kids in cages after separating them from their mothers and you--an immigrant mother--said nothing. Now we're in the midst of a pandemic and you're building a tennis pavilion and want us to be polite about it. Please just sit down and be quiet,” Twitter user @VABVOX said.
“Maybe you should join @JoeBiden’s campaign. It’s all about positivity and being a good person. #Biden2020,” Twitter user @littledeekay said.
