McDonald’s Japan reinvents fan favorite in new trio of rice burgers

McDonald's Japan's rice burgers

McDonald's Japan introduced the newest trio of Gohan Burgers in teriyaki, Karubi, and soy sauce crispy chicken for a limited time starting November 2.

The burgers are made with 100 percent koshihikari rice from Niigata Prefecture, which is highly regarded in Japan.

The returning Gohan Teriyaki has a tasty pork patty with a sweet and spicy ginger-flavored teriyaki sauce that McDonald's uses in its Teriyaki McBurger. It's priced at 420 yen à la carte and 720 yen for a meal set.

The Gohan Karubi features a thin-sliced 100 percent karubi beef patty, spicy sauce, crisp lettuce, and sweet lemon sauce. It is sold for 510 yen a la carte and 810 in a set.

It also comes with a new special wrapping that makes it easier to eat without spilling the sloppy contents of the burger.

The Gohan Chicken has a lightly battered chicken patty, soy sauce, f onion, garlic, lettuce, and cheddar cheese. It is priced at 440 yen a la carte and 840 in a set.

All three Gohan Burgers will be available from November 2nd for a limited time at McDonald's locations throughout Japan.
