Starbucks Japan is combining the two possible meanings of Yori Dori Midori, which is either green or getting your pick from a number of attractive options, by giving multiple tasty green-colored things to choose from.
Among them is a new seasonal Frappuccino called The Melon of Melon.
There are two melon flavors in the drink. At the bottom of the cup is a sauce made with orange melon pulp and the green melon juice-enhanced Frappuccino’s milk base.
Above the rim are swirls of melon-flavored whipped cream, and at the very top is drizzled green melon sauce.
The Melon of Melon Frappuccino goes on sale on June 1.
Starbucks has introduced two new matcha green tea desserts: Almond Milk Matcha Mousse and Matcha White Chocolate Scone. The matcha taste originates from tea leaves grown with compost generated from Starbucks coffee bean dredges, so you could say they're Starbucks treats from the second generation.
Starbucks will also be offering special green mugs and tumblers.
