“Lucifer” season 4 is happening following the controversies regarding its cancellation on Fox. Yes, it was withdrawn from Fox’s program lineup but Netflix came just in time to save it.
This means that the upcoming “Lucifer” season 4 will now premiere on Netflix instead of Fox. Now, to assure fans that it is really underway, the series’ writers recently posted a tweet that shows the title of the fourth season’s first episode.
Via the Lucifer Writers Room Twitter account, they wrote, “The title of Ep. 401 is "Everything's Okay." Written by the incomparable @Henderson_Joe, directed by the great @sherwinshilati and on @netflix!”
They also included the hashtags #Lucifer and #LuciferOnNetflix in the caption. Of course, to prove that they are done with it, a photo of the script was also uploaded.

This is really good news for the fans because they were enraged when Fox dropped “Lucifer” after season 3. Avid viewers created petitions and called out the TV network, via social media, for their decision.
As reported by EconoTimes, Fox canceled the show because it was not doing well on the economic side of things. It explained that it is a big-budgeted TV program but they are not getting back enough profit.
Netflix VP Cindy Holland explained why they decided to rescue “Lucifer” season 4. “It has really resonated with audiences in parts of the world where we licensed it so we felt it was important to help that show continue for those fans,” she said.
Meanwhile, “Lucifer” season 4 is expected to begin filming in August and should wrap up by December. It was said that it will have fewer episodes this time – only 10 for the fourth season. As for the air date, there is no confirmation yet but it may be within the first half of 2019.
