When Lee Min Ho was enlisted to serve in the South Korean military, as citizens of the country are expected to do, many fans of the hugely popular actor were saddened. Not only would it mean that he would be appearing in fewer films and TV series, but he would also be potentially exposed to danger. However, it would seem that he is about to get discharged and there are already plenty of rumors with regards to his plans.
As Business Times notes, Lee Min Ho is considered one of the most popular actors in China. His stint as Gu Jun Pyo in the South Korean adaptation of Boys Over Flowers earned him widespread acclaim. Following his role in the series, he became a mainstay in Korean pop culture, starring in many popular programs and films.
When news broke that Lee Min Ho was getting enlisted back in 2017, many fans were heartbroken. Fortunately, it would appear that he has served his time in the military without incident and he will be re-entering the public on May 11. As a result of this development, many fans are hoping for quite a few things.
For starters, there are those who are hoping that his military discharge would mean that Lee Min Ho would propose to ex-girlfriend Suzy Bae. However, there are currently no concrete details with regards to this matter and the two had already split while he was still enlisted.
There have also been rumors with regards to plans for Lee Min Ho to immediately get to work as an actor again after having served his time. As was the case with the purported Suzy Bae engagement reports, this has no basis in reality. As of now, the actor’s team is being tight-lipped with regards to any plans on his part. More than anything else, he might want to take a vacation first.
