Kristen Stewart is now known for several roles she has portrayed in films released over the years. But it is safe to say that her major career boost happened when she headlined the “Twilight” movie adaptation series about 10 years ago.
The 10th anniversary of the first “Twilight” movie is happening in November. And Stewart reflected on the upcoming milestone in an interview with Entertainment Tonight, published last Aug. 23.
The 28-year-old actress and model gave a face to Bella Swan of Stephenie Meyer’s romance-fantasy saga of the same title. And about a decade later, Stewart confirmed that she has maintained communication with some of her “Twilight” co-stars.
"I don't know, it is funny, I have also lived in the same neighborhood for 10 years and I thought about that the other day, and I was like, oh god, you know a decade ago it wasn't as crowded, and I was like, that is bizarre to be able to say that,” Kristen Stewart said. “So, same, just cause ... certain things, certain memories will be close to you forever. So, it will never be normal to say something was that long ago, and I feel that way about that too."
Aside from a successful movie series, Stewart also met Robert Pattinson, who starred in the series as Edward Cullen, on the set of the “Twilight” movies. Pattinson and Stewart confirmed their relationship in 2010 but it, unfortunately, ended on a bad note in 2012. Stewart and “Snow White and the Huntsman” director Rupert Sanders, who was married at the time, admitted to having an affair and issued an apology through their respective statements.
In other news, Stewart was also cast to headline the “Charlie’s Angels” movie reboot due to premiere in September 2019. Stewart is joined by Naomi Scott and Ella Balinska while Elizabeth Banks takes the director credits.
Kristen Stewart promised that the 2019 “Charlie’s Angels” is “so grounded and well-intentioned," hoping to show that "women can work together now.” She added, “We are not trying to do an impression of the last one, so yeah, I think [Banks] is like so genuinely naturally funny all the time anyway.”
