Months before the official release of “Kingdom Hearts 3,” developer Square Enix started accepting pre-orders through authorized retailers like GameStop. An exclusive treat from GameStop is a real-life poster inspired by the game and its characters.
However, GameStop and Square Enix has not yet finalized the design for that exclusive “Kingdom Hearts 3” poster. But that is only because these companies want to involve the fans in the selection process.
GameStop revealed the final three options for the “Kingdom Hearts 3” poster in a Twitter post on Monday. In all these designs, Sora, Donald Duck, and Goofy are included. But at the center of the image is a big keyhole, and each design features a different Disney character.
Calling #KH3 fans! Help us decide which @kingdomhearts fabric poster will be included as a GameStop and @squareenix exclusive with your #KingdomHearts 3 pre-order! Reply with #KH3ToyBox, #KH3Monstropolis or #KH3Arendelle to cast your vote. The one with the most votes wins! pic.twitter.com/rqj0fi5eWl

To vote for their preferred poster design, fans need to reply to GameStop’s tweet (as seen above) with the corresponding hashtag keywords. “Kingdom Hearts 3” fans should reply with #KH3ToyBox for Sheriff Woody of “Toy Story; #KHMonstropolis for the design that features James “Sully” Sullivan and Mike Wazowski of “Monster Inc”; and #KH3Arendelle for a poster that has Olaf of “Frozen” in the center.
GameStop did not specify when they are closing the polls. But, as of this writing, its tweet has only been up for around 15 hours, which means “Kingdom Hearts 3” may still cast their votes.
Meanwhile, note that the release of this poster is exclusive to pre-ordered copies of the “Kingdom Hearts 3” Deluxe Edition through GameStop. It is also not like the typical freebies since the retailer emphasized that it is going to be a fabric poster, which “Kingdom Hearts 3” fans will surely find as a cool wall decoration. This purchase also comes with an exclusive steel book case.
Aside from Sora, Donald Duck, and Goofy, the game features many other Disney and Disney Pixar characters, including Rapunzel and Flynn of “Tangled,” the titular main protagonist of “Wreck-It-Ralph,” the ensemble of “Frozen,” and many more. After years of waiting, Square Enix finally revealed last June that “Kingdom Hearts 3” will be released on Jan. 29, 2019 on the PS4 and Xbox One.
