“Kingdom Hearts 3” is set to launch in 2019, which is a long time for fans of the series to wait. Then again, what are a few more months compared to an entire decade of patience, right? In order to tide fans over, it would appear that a virtual reality experience involving the previous titles in the series is coming. What’s more, it’s going to be free.
Now, it’s worth pointing out that this VR experience is not for “Kingdom Hearts 3” specifically, but for the past games. As the PlayStation Blog notes, a “Kingdom Hearts VR Experience” is coming out this holiday season. It will feature an immersive VR opportunity for fans to relive their favorite moments in the franchise via PSVR.
This offer will be available for download for free from the PlayStation Store and seems to indicate that players will be able to fight using the Keyblade in the game. It would certainly be a novel experience that will make anticipating the release of “Kingdom Hearts 3” more bearable. It will also be a great way for players new to the series to get acquainted with at least some of the lore.
This series is huge and really comes with some major story twists and turns that can make one’s head spin. As such, it might be worth looking into this VR offer, as well as other resources before playing “Kingdom Hearts 3”.
Speaking of the game that took a decade to develop, it’s difficult to fathom that it will actually launch in January 2019, as Cinemablend points out. This is such a momentous development, mostly because fans have stopped expecting that “Kingdom Hearts 3” would ever see the light of day. Even when it was officially announced, it still invited doubts from those who were burned in the past. It seems the time for suffering is over.
