‘Keeping Up With the Kardashians’ season 13 will continue production despite reports stating otherwise as confirmed by producer Ryan Seacrest. Kim Kardashian and her husband Kanye West are reportedly “taking the rest of 2016 off” to focus on family and West’s recuperation.
According to MTV, season 13 of the popular reality television series ‘Keeping Up With the Kardashians’ continues production despite rumors of a halt following Kanye West’s hospitalization last November 21. West was rushed to the UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles after reportedly suffering a breakdown. Prior to the incident, West canceled the remainder of his Saint Pablo tour and went on rants against Jay-Z and Beyonce during recent performances.
Producer of Ryan Seacrest confirmed, “I’ve spoken to Kim. I’ve not spoken to Kanye, but I think that things are going better now… There have been some reports that we halted production. We did stop for a little bit, briefly, after the Paris incident, but since then we’ve been back in production… We’re shooting season 13.”
Production was halted last October 3, 2016 in the wake of Kim’s Paris robbery. Kim was robbed of more than $10 million worth in jewelry while held at gunpoint inside her private residence in Paris and this has reportedly affected her husband deeply.
West had suffered from “severe paranoia” and “hallucinations” brought about by over fatigue and lack of sleep. According to Hollywood Life, Kim admitted her regrets at not getting West checked up by a medical professional sooner. A source revealed, “Kim is really beating herself up over Kanye’s condition. She can’t help but blame herself for his situation. She just feels that is she could have gotten him help sooner or not have been so rattled after Paris maybe Kanye wouldn’t be in this place.”
The insider continued “She wishes she could have done more and saved him from himself. Logically she knows this is about Kanye, not her, but she is still being really hard on herself.” The source explained that although Kim generally tends to keep her emotions hidden, friends such as John Legend and Chrissy Teigen have been helping her cope.
According to Vanity Fair, the celebrity couple planned to stay out of the public eye for the remainder of 2016. A source revealed that Kim would focus on her husband’s recuperation as well as their family’s well-being and will not be leaving him despite reports stating otherwise.
‘Keeping Up With the Kardashians’ season 13 is expected to return to E! The network aired season 12’s finale, entitled "No Good Deeds," last November 20, 2016.
