Kate Middleton and Prince William step out for their first public appearance since Prince Harry and Meghan Markle announced that they quit and moving to North America. The couple appeared to be happy as they carried out their first engagement of the year, but watchful eyes are also observing them to see if they are affected by the “Megxit,” a term used in reference to the Sussexes shocking departure last week.

Kate and William’s first outing in 2020

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge visited Bradford on Jan. 15, and this was their first stop for the day. They proceeded to the City Hall in Centenary Square to meet a group of young individuals so they can hear about their life in Bradford.

Fox News reported that the Cambridges also visited the dining place called My Lahore, and they talked to Bradford College students who work in the establishment. The citizens are said to be very pleased that the couple stopped by for a brief chat before proceeding to their next schedule of the day.

The Cambridges body language

While Prince William and Kate Middleton did not talk about or mention the “Megxit,” Blanca Cobb, a body language expert, tried to interpret what the couple feels about the things happening in the palace. Behind their bright smiles, what are they not saying to the public?

First of all, Cobb said that the pair is nervous in their first public appearance, and she saw this as the two are holding their hands close to their stomach. "When you're unsettled about something, you might cover a vulnerable part of your body as if shielding yourself,” she told Cosmopolitan. “What's interesting is that William is doing the same."

How the Cambridges feel about the Sussexes exit

Also, Blanca said that Kate and William feel burdened, and she saw this in their “rounded” shoulders. Their posture suggests that they are carrying some loads on their shoulders. Adding that it is unusual for the Cambridges to have such rounded shoulders, and this could mean they are feeling the weight or pressure concerning Harry and Meghan’s situation.

Finally, Cobb said that with regards to Prince William and Kate Middleton’s relationship, the two maintain a good one. They are in sync, just like how their steps are in sync.
