Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez got engaged earlier this year, and they are said to be in the process of wedding preparations. Before anything else, they are said to be drafting their prenup agreement before proceeding to the next details like gown designs, finding the venue, and so on.
However, it was said that Lopez and Rodriguez hit a rough patch while writing their prenup, so they stopped the wedding preparations. The couple is said to be at war due to the added cheating clause in their agreement. In particular, the former baseball player is said to be furious because he did not like those terms.
But there is no way around it because Jennifer Lopez was said to have warned her fiance that if he does not sign the prenup, then their wedding cannot push through. As per Star magazine’s report (via Gossip Cop), the singer/actress wants to tie the knot with Alex Rodriguez on September, and it will be held in their new home in Malibu, but the plan was halted after news of her BF’s cheating.
“Jen’s devastated by claims that Alex cheated on her for months, right up until he proposed,” the so-called source said. “She’s having serious doubts about his character so the wedding has been put on hold and everything is up in the air. Jennifer won’t commit to anything until Alex agrees to her terms.”
Although there was a cheating allegation against Alex Rodriguez, this has long been dismissed by the woman involved. Plus, it did not look like Jen was ever affected by that story since it was baseless.
As per the prenup, the insider stated that a cheating clause costing $2 million was added to prevent it from actually happening in the future. “If Alex cheats and she finds out about it, he’ll have to cough up a couple million, just like that.”
Then again, the prenup story was already debunked when it was originally reported by In Touch Weekly. There is no prenuptial agreement between Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez, so the allegations that the couple is fighting because of it is false.
