The Jennifer Garner, Ben Affleck divorce proceedings is already bubbling with frustration under the surface despite the outward serenity that the estranged couple like to present. With the recent incident involving a kayaking trip in Sweden gone awry, things could get a bit more complicated. It did involve the “Alias” actress and her daughter getting rescued after what she claims was 100 hours of paddling.
In an Instagram post that the star of the upcoming HBO show “Camping” put up, she shared some details on what happened during her eventful trip to Sweden. She and her daughter Violet, 12, had apparently gotten lost at sea and ended up in a shipping lane where they had to be rescued. No word yet on how this will affect the Jennifer Garner, Ben Affleck divorce process.
“On a pre-middle-school sneak away with my eldest… Did I get us lost in a kayak? Yes. Did we paddle as hard as we could for 100 hours and end up in a shipping lane? I’m afraid so,” the post’s caption reads.
As misadventures go, this would appear to be particularly fitting since the “Elektra” actress is starring in an upcoming comedy with a camping theme, Us Magazine points out. What might not be as humorous is the potential effect that this incident could have on how the Jennifer Garner, Ben Affleck custody matters will be handled.
It was previously reported that one of the reasons why the Jennifer Garner, Ben Affleck divorce proceedings is taking so long is the former’s reluctance to trust her ex-husband with their children. The “Batman V Superman” actor’s past alcohol abuse had been a factor in the delay. However, this new incident could give his legal team more room to push for finalization.
None of this is confirmed, however, since Ben Affleck’s side has not yet commented on the kayaking incident. Fans can only hope that this results in a peaceful Jennifer Garner, Ben Affleck split resolution.
