Jennifer Aniston was said to have expressed interest in the NXIVM cult and in fact, she attended some of its meetings. However, after knowing its dark side and questionable practices, the “Friends” actress allegedly escaped just in time before she gets involved further.
Jen allegedly fought to break free from the sex cult
Based on the report Jennifer Aniston and Gerard Butler ended up attending one of the cult’s introductory seminars. They participated in the group’s courses but were turned off by the requirements that the organization was asking from them.
As per New Idea, Jen only took one class with her then-boyfriend and the NXIVM was so proud that it was able to recruit another famous members. It was said that the cult used to lure some rich and famous personalities and they use them to attract more members.
These people were listed in the elite networks and the cult takes advantage of their fortune. The rich members’ money were used to fund legal cases that the cult had to deal with as per the Insider.
Now, after Jennifer Aniston took the introductory course but she and her boyfriend did not continue to become full-fledged members by taking more courses. Rather, the shady cult group turned them off so they left and never returned.
The truth about Jen’s involvement in NXIVM
Now, while it is true that Jennifer Aniston attended a course, it was just one class. Thus, Gossip Cop debunked the report that she “escaped.” This was a misleading title because there no escaping ever happened.
The actress clearly left without a struggle and she was not blackmailed or anything. This cannot be defined as “escaping” so the report is totally false. In truth, Aniston and Butler are not active members as they did not want to continue after learning what they were supposed to do once they totally become part of the cult.
It was just one class and they immediately quit so Jennifer Aniston can’t be said as involved in NXIVM as well. There is nothing that can tie her name to the group so the allegation is obviously a made-up story.
