Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson are considered as one of the most successful pairings in Hollywood. Their chemistry in the “Fifty Shades” trilogy was overwhelming that fans would like them to continue being Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele. However, the movie series already ended a year ago and there is no follow-up since the E. L. James novels where the stories were based from only have three books.
Now, here is the good news for fans of Jamie Dornan, Dakota Johnson and their “Fifty Shades” movies, E. L. James just announced that she would be releasing her new book. On Jan. 24, via “The Today Show,” the author shared that her new novel is called “The Mister” and it will feature a passionate romance story. She noted that although this will show many erotic scenarios, it will not be as intense as the “Fifty Shades” series.
E. L. James’s new book comes eight years since “Fifty Shades of Grey” was unveiled in 2011 and four years after the movie version of the first book propelled Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson to stardom. In any case, according to the author, “The Mister” is a modern Cinderella story suited for the 21st century and it will arrive in bookstores in April.
As per Penguin Publishing House, the new book’s summary reads: "The Mister is a contemporary romance set in London, Cornwall, and Eastern Europe that introduces readers to the privileged and aristocratic young Englishman Maxim Trevelyan and the mysterious, talented and beautiful Alessia Demachi, who’s recently arrived in London owning little more than a dangerous and troublesome past."
Meanwhile, since there is a high chance that “The Mister” would be made into a film just like the “Fifty Shades” series, fans may want Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson to reteam again and be this new novel’s main leads – as Maxim Trevelyan and Maxim Trevelyan, respectively. But, will the two stars accept it?
Dakota Johnson already said in the past that she is willing to work with Jamie Dornan again and it does not matter if it will be another erotic film. On the other hand, the Irish actor has a different opinion as he said it would be great to work with his “Fifty Shades” co-star for a new project, however, he wants to avoid starring in sexually charged films which means he is likely to turn it down if they will offer the role of Maxim to him.
