The manga series of “Hunter x Hunter” is once again on a hiatus after the release of the 390th chapter in November 2018. But, with no solid release date pattern for the past several years, fans can only speculate when they can read “Hunter x Hunter” Chapter 391.
One of the most interesting release date speculations for “Hunter x Hunter” Chapter 391 came from Reddit user u/HunterYuyuMoon. They suggested that there will be a total of 20 new chapters arriving this year. The first set is speculated to be announced in spring while the rest of the chapters are expected to arrive in fall through the end of the year.
On Github, there is a very comprehensive chart of “Hunter x Hunter” breaks since it debuted in 1998. A glance proves that 2018 was a much better year since 2011 when 16 new chapters were released.
There were also 16 new chapters released consecutively in 2012. But from 2013 to 2017, fans of “Hunter x Hunter” saw much longer gaps and fewer manga installments released per year. Only two new chapters came out in 2013 followed by nine more in 2014.
The year 2015 was when “Hunter x Hunter” manga was a complete no-show the entire year. Fans then got 10 new chapters each year in 2016 and 2017. Last year, a total of 20 new installments were dropped.
Upon the announcement of the current hiatus, “Hunter x Hunter” creator Yoshihiro Togashi told fans that the storyboards for the next 10 new chapters are already complete before 2018 ended. In that case, there is really a chance that Togashi could deliver 20 new chapters in 2019 as well, which includes the imminent "Hunter x Hunter" Chapter 391.
Togashi announced he would be taking another months-long break last November in the Weekly Shonen Jump #52 citing “various circumstances” with emphasis on his health. The long breaks started in 2006 but it was only in 2014 when the reports about Togashi’s health issues came out. Stay tuned for more "Hunter x Hunter" Chapter 391 spoilers, news, and updates.
