Fans will have to wait for an indefinite amount of time before getting their hands on “Hunter x Hunter” chapter 391. But it already seems like the wait will be worthwhile as the next installment is most likely titled “Clash: Part 2.”
The latest chapter and final installment for 2018 seemed to show some escalation in the story of the current “Succession Contest” arc. By the end of chapter 390, titled “Clash: Part 1,” Hinrigh Biganduffno and the others instigated an attack which will likely have its repercussions once the story continues in “Hunter x Hunter” chapter 391.
Hinrigh, Lynch Fullbokko, and Zakuro Custard encountered some members of the Heil-Ly that they initially thought were members of the mafia. They also tried to extract information about Morena’s abilities. Aside from being the leader of the Heil-Ly Family, Morena is also an illegitimate daughter of Nasubi Hui Guo Rou so some of the princes think of her as a threat. So it is not too far-fetched to expect Morena as one of the highlighted characters for “Hunter x Hunter” chapter 391. Meanwhile, Hinrigh learned that the men were not members of the mafia and boarded the Black Whale as civilians.
Hinrigh apologized and promised they will not return to Tier 3 but he eventually killed the guards and mocked them. These turn of events appear to be setting something big happening in “Hunter x Hunter” chapter 391.
Shortly after chapter 390 was released in late November, series creator Yoshihiro Togashi confirmed that there will be another round of hiatus before the publication of “Hunter x Hunter” chapter 391. He did not specify when he will be returning but he did leave a message that made fans hope this break will be relatively shorter.
Togashi revealed, through an issue of Weekly Shonen Jump, that the storyboards for “Hunter x Hunter” chapter 391 to chapter 400 “are already done.” This, however, does not mean they are ready for publication. This only means that at least 10 chapters are now certainly going to be released once the hiatus is over but they still need some work before being finalized.
The series creator only promised to get back to work as soon as the circumstances allow him, citing factors like his health. But with a positive message left in 2018, many fans are hoping “Hunter x Hunter” chapter 391 would be ready for release sometime in early 2019.
