“Grey's Anatomy” Season 15 has been referred to as the “Season of Love” but it’s more than just that. Its next episode, titled “Momma Knows Best,” will have the show collide with another drama series, “Station 19,” Express reported.
Showrunner Stacy McKee already spoke about this crossover back in January, saying that the two show has a lot of promising avenues to explore together given they are both set in Seattle. And since “Station 19” follows the heroic adventures of a group of firefighters, the crossover does indeed make sense. It’s still unclear how this collision will affect “Grey's Anatomy” Season 15, especially with regards to its overarching plotline.
And speaking of the plotline, Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) is going to enter the world of dating yet again in “Momma Knows Best,” a development that was nicely set up by the previous episode. “Grey's Anatomy” Season 15 will have Meredith go on several of these dates in order for her to find that one person destined for her, as revealed by showrunner Krista Vernoff.
“One has to grieve, and then one has to move forward and then try a rebound relationship. Then one has to go out into the world with an open heart, and without jadedness or fear, and say, ‘OK, universe. I’m looking. I’m available.’ And they have to dip their toe back into the dating pool,” Vernoff explained. Will Meredith find the right guy for her in “Grey's Anatomy” Season 15?
That is still up for debate at the moment even though this installment is being billed as the “Season of Love.” Indeed, while the trailer for “Grey's Anatomy” Season 15 showed that Meredith will have a steamy encounter with DeLuca (Giacomo Gianniotti), their relationship is speculated to be temporary.
The next episode of “Grey's Anatomy” Season 15 is slated for release on Oct. 11, which will run for two hours given that “Station 19” will collide with the medical drama. It will be quite interesting to see how characters from both shows will interact, especially on the flirting side of things.
