The GoPro Hero 8 will be launching tomorrow, and tech enthusiasts are eagerly waiting what this year’s iteration will bring. While the San Mateo-based company has maintained its silence about the eighth entry of the series, there’s no shortage of rumors that have proliferated on the web.

Now, another leak has been released online ahead of the GoPro Hero 8’s launch, which is in line with the previous features that the device will supposedly have. Among the information that’s been shared are pricing – both for the device and its accessories – advertising, and packaging materials.

The source of this new GoPro Hero 8 leak is Photo Rumors, the same site that leaked the supposed feature of the action camera a couple of months ago. So, let’s dive right in.

GoPro Hero 8 to cost $399

According to the site, the GoPro Hero 8 will be price at 1,899,00 PLN or around $482. However, since the company doesn’t necessarily follow a one to one conversion rate, it’s likely that the new model will sit on $399.

With the Hero 7 Black already getting its price cut to $300, it opens up the $399 spot for the GoPro Hero 8, specifically the black variant. The price of several accessories has been leaked as well including floaties, light mod, protective housing, door replacement, and sleeve + lanyard.

Apart from the price, the new leak also seems to confirm that the GoPro Hero 8 will indeed shoot at 4K/120 fps and 1080 at 240 fps. The 12MP sensor has also been seen as well, along with Live Bursts, TimeWarp 2.0, Hypersmooth 2.0, 8x Slow-Mo, and 1080p Live Streaming.

GoPro Hero 8 needs a better battery than the Hero 7

It’s also expected that the GoPro Hero 8 will have voice command with an improve mic. Unfortunately, there are still no leaks concerning the battery of the new model, which could be bad news since Hero 7 couldn’t even reach two-hours of use.

If the GoPro Hero 8 will indeed have a detachable LED light and front-facing screen, then that means more strain on the battery. It’s going to be a miracle if the device managed to last an hour with accessories on while shooting at 4K/120 fps. Sure, the new GP2 chip might provide some form of power efficiency, but that wouldn’t be enough. As for anyone who’s interested in seeing the unveiling, follow this link here.
