McDonald’s will be testing six rice meals at 30 restaurants across the United Arab Emirates for a limited time
The options are chicken katsu curry, chicken teriyaki, chili con carne, beef with gravy and mushrooms, beef with mushroom sauce, and veggie katsu.
According to Walid Fakih, CEO of McDonald’s UAE, while burgers and fries will always be the backbone of their offerings, they want to appeal to the tastes of the local community and bring them closer to the flavors they love.
He added that they will base the decision to keep the rice meals on the menu on the feedback they receive and the performance of each product.
The rice meals will be available ala carte for AED19 or with a regular drink for AED22. A value version will be available for AED12 and AED15.
