Rockstar Games remain reticent about the development of “GTA 6” leaving fans in the dark when exactly it’s going to be released. However, it’s being touted that new information might come out of the studio during the upcoming E3 event this June, VGR reported.
Last year’s gathering saw an impressive attendance of more than 69,000 people with over 200 exhibitors showing off their new projects. While Rockstar hasn’t announced anything yet, there’s a big chance that they’ll drop some hint regarding “GTA 6.”
Interviewers will undoubtedly bring up the sixth installment for the franchise given that its predecessor came out nearly six years ago. Right now, only rumors can be found within the gaming community. The most prominent of which is the alleged codename “Project Americas.” If the whispers are to be believed, “GTA 6” is supposedly going to include missions involving unnamed maps somewhere south of the border.
If it holds true, then the possibility of having multiple cities within the game will also transition to reality. There’s also the rumor floating around that “GTA 6” is going to include the entire map of the United States. It goes without saying that this will take enormous efforts on the part of the developers to make this a reality. As such, this particular claim will likely remain a rumor.
With regards to the delay of the “GTA 6,” there have been multiple factors that have been considered. The most intriguing among them is the political climate boiling around the United States. To put in a nutshell, co-writer Dan Houser said that since “GTA 6” is built upon satire, it’s difficult to follow this formula since reality has become an exaggerated version of itself in recent years.
What’s been confirmed so far is that Rockstar is looking to expand their team and is recruiting gaming experts in various fields. Those that have been given emphasis are environmental design, facial tracking and development, improving tools, and animation retargeting. The expansion is believed to be the studio’s effort of making “GTA 6” compatible with the PlayStation and Xbox Scarlet, Express reported. As for its release date, Rockstar hasn’t announced anything yet although the community is speculating it’ll hit the market sometime between 2020 and 2022.
