G-Dragon’s sister Kwon Dami is set to marry actor Kim Min Joon on Oct. 11, and many people are wondering if the BIGBANG leader could attend. There is a question about his attendance to his older sister’s big day since he is currently serving in the army.
It was previously reported that Dami and Min Joon are not divulging the venue of their wedding to the public for fear that G-Dragon’s fans would flock to the place. The BIGBANG leader is a superstar so they are not talking about the gathering of few groups but they are trying to avoid hundreds of fans from trooping to the venue.
G-Dragon’s fans on the wedding day
Apparently, if this will happen, it will not only cause traffic, but it can also cause disruptions on the occasion. Moreover, they may need more security in the area which is not really necessary if they can keep the details of their wedding a secret until the big day.
As reported by Soompi, Kim Min Joon’s agency confirmed that the actor is tying the knot with G-Dragon’s sister next month and it will be a private ceremony. The nuptials was announced barely three months since the couple publicly admitted that they are dating.
“Honestly, there was no pressure from my peers to get married quickly,” the actor said when asked why he decided to get married now. “I wasn’t anxious while wondering, ‘Isn’t it too late?’ For older bachelors in their 40s like me, it doesn’t matter if you think we’re thoughtless for not getting married sooner. I’m here now because I wanted to marry Kwon Dami.”
G-Dragon’s wedding attendance and military discharge
G-Dragon’s discharge from the army was moved to an earlier date. His original release date was in November but due to the new rulings on shorter army service, the BIGBANG leader is qualified for an early release. He is now set to return to civilian life on Oct. 26, as per Allkpop.
Now, since Kwon Dami and Kim Min Joon’s wedding date is on the eleventh of October, can he attend the wedding. The answer is “yes” because the couple is already taking precautionary measures to avoid G-Dragon’s fans from coming to the venue. Plus, the army will surely allow him a day of leave for his sister’s wedding.
