The “Far Cry 5 Dead Living Zombies” DLC was just teased and boy does it contain some major hype materials. For starters, there’s the fact that zombies are going to be coming to Montana, which can work as a simulator for “The Walking Dead,” since it is a country setting. Also, fans can rejoice because Blood Dragons are back.
A teaser trailer for the “Far Cry 5 Dead Living Zombies” DLC was recently released by Ubisoft and in typical “Far Cry 5” fashion, it is presented in the silliest country setup possible. Although the clip only lasted 48 seconds, there is a ton of details to unpack. For starters, the teaser seems to be composed of every B-movie trope in existence.
Moving on from tired references, however, the “Far Cry 5 Dead Living Zombies” DLC is mostly about fighting hordes of the undead. Players will be shooting rotting corpses in different maps, beating each one of which will unlock a new one, GameSpot reports. Getting top scores in this DLC will net players some new weapons and gear to use in the story mode.
Aside from the zombies that players will be blasting in the face, though, “Far Cry” fans with keen eyes would have also noticed a clear reference near the end of the clip. It’s basically that split-second appearance of a giant lizard with glowing red-purple parts. This can only mean that the “Far Cry 5 Dead Living Zombies” DLC is bringing back the fan-favorite Blood Dragons from “Far Cry 3: Blood Dragons.”
It’s unknown if these gigantic creatures will retain their abilities from their video game of origin, but it would certainly be awesome if they did. Fans won’t have to wait long to find out, however, since the “Far Cry 5 Dead Living Zombies” DLC will be released on Aug. 28.
