Ellen DeGeneres' tearful video backfires on her

Ellen DeGeneres came out with a video wherein she was tearfully giving her own message about racism, and the Black Lives Matter movement.

Clearly, the video was meant to stir the emotions of the American people to act and help end racism in support of George Floyd, a black American who died due to police brutality instigated by white police officers in Minneapolis. All police officers involved have been fired from the service and are now facing charges.

Emotion it did stir, but it was empathy for those who were allegedly oppressed by the TV host. DeGeneres was also labeled as a hypocrite and a racist.

DeGeneres started her video by saying that she does not know what to say, that she is sad and angry.

She then went on to say that she will use her platform and her voice for racial equality because she had always stood for it. And, because she knows how that feels.

At the end of the video, she called for fairness and justice for all.

DeGeneres has been accused of being rude and for mistreating her own staff at The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

Others told her to stop blabbing and instead make a donation seeing how wealthy she is.

This is not the first time that DeGeneres’ attempt at voicing out her support for Floyd was met with criticisms.

A few days earlier, she was forced to delete a tweet about racial injustice after fans told her she was being vague and hypocritical, as well.

Her fans cannot seem to stop calling her a racist and a hypocrite after she also tweeted about Pride Month and Black Lives Matter.

In that tweet, she had mentioned how a protest had helped her "come out" and become the successful person that she is now.

To which a follower responded that it did not make her any less of a rude person.
