As the Jump Festa 2019 opens this weekend in Japan, many fans attending the convention will have the chance to be the first ones to watch “Dragon Ball Heroes” episode 6. This is expected to serve as the finale for the promotional anime series intended for the same title arcade game. Now, many are wondering if there will be a second installment.
It was announced earlier this month that “Dragon Ball Heroes” episode 6 will be presented in the stage of Jump Festa 2019 during the first day, which is on Saturday, Dec. 22. Its title and official synopsis have both suggested that it is going to be the final episode of the promo series.
“Dragon Ball Heroes” episode 6 is titled “I'll Settle This!! Activate! Ultra Instinct!” which already builds up the excitement around it just by confirming that its main highlight is the return of Ultra Instinct Goku. Meanwhile, the episode summary also describes what looks like a conclusion to the story that began earlier this year.

Twitter user Herms98 translated the earlier released teaser for “Dragon Ball Heroes” episode 6 which mentions it is going to be centered on “a final battle” joined by Ultra Instinct Goku. The rest of the synopsis confirms that the Prison Planet is “crumbling” and implies that Ultra Instinct Goku’s appearance is the protagonists’ last resort in winning the “endless fierce battle.”
As mentioned, “Dragon Ball Heroes” episode 6 sounds like it was written and designed to be the finale to this mini promotional series. However, weeks before its release, there had been rumors that the anime series might be prolonged with more episodes. It is unclear, though, whether Toei Animation will be starting on a new arc from the game or will be adding more episodes to the current Prison Planet arc.
However, it is pretty clear that “Dragon Ball Heroes” episode 6 is proof that the support over the promo series had been more than what Toei Animation expected. When the series was first announced in June, it was confirmed to have only two episodes and was not expected to be canon in the franchise.
