Dr Pepper added something new to its product lineup and it will be a permanent addition to its portfolio. The leading North American leading beverage company announces the launch of its Dr Pepper Strawberries & Cream drink.
As mentioned on The Street, the company dropped its newest drink on Wednesday, Feb. 1. The new flavor was said to be unique as it features a combination of Dr Pepper’s original 23 flavors and layers of smooth strawberry taste. The result is a creamy soda that drinkers will find refreshing.
The new Dr Pepper Strawberries & Cream drink is coming to grocery stores across the United States. Customers can buy them in two options - in 12-ounce cans and 20-ounce bottles. They will also be available in 12-can boxes.
People can choose between the regular or Zero sugar version of the new product. Dr Pepper said that drink is hitting the store shelves this month but did not provide an exact release date.
"Our expert team of flavor scientists are constantly innovating to bring to life new varieties that will surprise and delight treat seekers and our existing dedicated fans," Dr Pepper’s senior vice president of brand marketing, John Alvarado, said in a press release.
The SVP added, "Dr Pepper Strawberries & Cream is an exciting evolution for our brand's flavor portfolio as it joins our permanent lineup alongside popular varieties such as Dr Pepper & Cream Soda and Dr Pepper Zero Sugar. We can't wait for people to try this delicious new treat!"
Meanwhile, it was reported that the new Dr Pepper drink received mixed reactions almost immediately after the company revealed its release. Many posted positive comments via social media but there were a few negative ones as well.
