Casio Computer Co., Ltd. will release two new additions to the G-SHOCK watches: the MTG-B3000FR and GWG-2040FR in the run-up to the 40th anniversary of the shock-resistant brand on April 2023.
The two Flare Red anniversary models boast the red G-SHOCK brand color in an intensely blazing solar flare design.
Casio is looking to connect with every G-SHOCK fan through various activities, including releasing commemorative models and holding special events worldwide.
The 40th-anniversary Flare Red models feature multicolor laminated bezels made with phosphorescent materials in the red G-SHOCK brand color, which evokes solar flares.
Casio used a new technique to laminate carbon and colored glass fiber sheets together and hew them into bezel form.
The bezel of every single watch has its unique look since the materials present a one-of-a-kind appearance depending on where in the lamination the bezel is hewn. A solar flare-inspired pattern printed on the dial with clear toner adds to the dynamic face design.
