“Classroom of the Elite” season 2 is one of the anime series that fans want to see again on the small screen. It is almost three years now since the finale of the first season was released and yet, there is still no news if it will still return for another run.
Canceled or renewed?
Has Lerche studio already canceled “Classroom of the Elite” season 2? This is the common question from the fans and while there are not much details about the subject is available, below are things that we know so far.
There is no announcement of renewal but the good thing is that there is no notice of cancellation as well. This means that there is still a big chance that “Classroom of the Elite” season 2 will still be produced thus its correct status is that it is currently on hiatus.
Even so, it is leaning more on the renewal side because the anime did great when it debuted. It has its own followers that made the show successful so there is no reason for it to be pulled out without a warning. “Classroom of the Elite” or “Youkoso Jitsuryoku Shijō Shugi no Kyōshitsu” is also quite successful in Japan where it was originally released and having it subbed or dubbed in English for release in other countries is already an indication that it attained positive results.
Signs that it will return
There will be “Classroom of the Elite” season 2 because, in the first place, the debut season concluded in a way that shows there will be a continuation. The first installment has no actual ending that it was left open for the next scenes to take place.
Moreover, TV Season & Spoilers noted that the anime made big profits when it was launched thus it is unlikely that its producers will give up the chance to make more from it. It is truly a popular show that should be renewed or it will end up as a wasted opportunity.
Besides, Lerche still has many materials left to use for the next season. At this point, they only used up three volumes of the novel series where “Classroom of the Elite” anime was based on. It was mentioned that there are still about 11 volumes left that can be translated to make season 2.
“Classroom of the Elite” season 2 has no release date yet but it was predicted to arrive this year. Perhaps, it will be a surprise form Lerche?
