“Classroom of the Elite” season 2 is one of those anime that fans want to see as soon as possible. Those who followed the first season, as well as its manga version, want to see how the story will continue but unfortunately, there is no news about it yet.
The renewal and short background
The first season concluded in 2017 and while most anime announced the next season’s renewal a few months after, Lerche Studios, its producer for TV adaptation, has been quiet up to now. Thus, fans are wondering if they still have an interest in producing “Classroom of the Elite” season 2.
This anime is quite different from the others because it brought the school-themed Japanese animation into a new level. It presented a futuristic school education setup where students are not just graded through written exams but through activities.
“Classroom of the Elite” was originally written by Syonhgo Kinugasa with illustrations from Yuyu Ichino. It was adapted for animation by Youkoso Jitsuryoku and was first released in January 2016 through Lerche.
The series is still waiting to be renewed and many are hoping it will still be approved for another run. Besides, there are still lots of materials to base the story for “Classroom of the Elite” season 2 as the first season only used up four volumes of the manga series.
What to expect
If confirmed, “Classroom of the Elite” season 2 will pick up from the previous season’s episode 12 titled “Genius Lives Only One Storey Above Madness.” Ayanokoji was forced to drop out as Ibuki stole the key card so that their group will pass.
The scenario will show the students heading back to the cruise ship but their team battle will go on. The students have been grouped based on their zodiac signs so 12 groups are competing. Their next challenge involves testing their knowledge and intelligence. It is expected that there will be a team that will try to manipulate the results again in “Classroom of the Elite” season 2.
Meanwhile, TV Season & Spoilers also opined that “Classroom of the Elite” is likely to return because it has a good following. At least three or more seasons should air before they could end this anime on a good note.
