‘Chicago PD’ season 4’s episode 14, titled “Seven Indictments,” is set to follow the team as they investigate a mysterious home explosion that leaves an unrecognizable burnt body and badly injured boy in its wake. Meanwhile, Lindsay and Halstead will become suspicious of Rixton after receiving a warning.
The synopsis for episode 14 posted on TV Guide states, “The team investigates a home explosion that burned a victim beyond recognition and badly injured a young boy; and Lindsay (Sophia Bush) and Halstead (Jesse Lee Soffer) receive an odd warning about Rixton (guest star Nick Wechsler).”
Basing on the brief synopsis for “Seven Indictments,” the team will have to work on identifying the body of a victim burnt beyond recognition as well as a young boy left badly injured at a torched house. As the investigation on the cause of the fire as well as the hunt for its perpetrators progresses, Intelligence will discover a trail of lies and deceit.
Meanwhile, Lindsay and Halstead will be left suspicious of Rixton after they receive a warning. Kenny Rixton’s was brought in as part Voight’s (Jason Beghe) old team but this decision wasn’t met kindly by some of the members. Although Voight believed in Rixton’s potential, his past record hasn’t been spotless.
Actress Marina Squerciati explained during an interview with Cartermatt that her character Burgess isn’t exactly comfortable with having Rixton around on the team. She revealed that Burgess didn’t like Rixton, especially with the fact that he came in as a substitute for her ex-boyfriend Ruzek (Patrick John Flueger), who is out doing undercover work.
She said, “I knew that right away — [Burgess] does not like Rixton. It’s like your boyfriend or ex-fiance’s place was taken over by someone. It’s not his fault, but she does not like this character. That’s clear to me. Whenever there isn’t anything written in, I just give Rixton a dirty look. That’s how I make it work.”
‘Chicago PD’ season 4’s episode 14, titled “Seven Indictments,” is scheduled to air on NBC on February 15, 2017. It will be followed by episode 15, titled "Favor, Affection, Malice or Ill-Will," scheduled for February 22.
