McDonald's Corporate Headquarters in Chicago is asking franchisees to dial down their orders of to-go paper bags from suppliers due to a tightening supply.
The chain is encouraging workers to push for the usage of trays for dine-in customers.
But with COVID-19 numbers increasing daily in Florida, to-go bags have been the norm as many customers are terrified of potentially contracting COVID-19 by touching objects and surfaces.
McDonald's officials say the impact of this paper bag shortage on their restaurants is minor, at least for now.
