The trailer for “Bosch” Season 5 has been released and it features most of the information that’s already been revealed by previous interviews. In the fifth installment, Harry (Titus Welliver) will be going undercover to infiltrate a notorious drug syndicate that’s dealing with a fentanyl drug.
At one point during “Bosch” Season 5, the titular detective will be thrown in with some really bad people. To make matters worse, he has no one to rely upon but himself, which is unchartered territory for the operative. Welliver has already provided some hints at this during his interview with Fan Fest.
“So, what’s interesting is, J. Edgar (Jamie Hector) always has his back, but in these circumstances, Harry has no cell phone, he has no panic button, he has no gun, he has no badge, et cetera, et cetera. The level of peril that he’s dealing with is very, very high. And Jerry can’t get hold of him. And Maddie (Madison Lintz) can’t get hold of him. Billets (Amy Aquino) is saying to Jerry, ‘Where’s Harry?’ And he says, ‘I don’t know.’”
Regarding who’s behind the syndicate’s rise to power, Dalton Walsh (Chris Vance) will be the main antagonist for “Bosch” Season 5. Apart from the drug cartel, Harry will also be dealing with a messy case involving an inmate who’s claiming he’s been framed by the detective.
Attorney Chandlers (Mimi Rogers) will be the legal counsel of Harry in “Bosch” Season 5. The lawyer will also be using the expertise of one Hector Bonner (Ryan Hurst), a private investigator who’s been a previous client of Chandler.
What makes “Bosch” Season 5 an interesting installment to follow is the emerging outrage of the public regarding Harry and his supposed abuse of power. Complicating things further are the other inmates that the detective put behind bars as they too are wanting to have a retrial on the grounds of Harry’s questionable character. As for the release date of the fifth entry, Amazon has scheduled it to drop on April 19.
