“Bosch” Season 5 will be based on the storyline of “Two Kinds of Truth” and the adaptation will be following a plotline for the titular detective. However, it’s important to remember that this is merely speculation at this point and it’s unclear whether or not it’s going to translate on television.
With that being said, here’s what happened in the book. “Bosch” Season 5 could potentially deal with an inmate that was locked up by Bosch (Titus Welliver) claiming that he has been framed by the detective. What’s more, he said that he could provide heavy evidence to do so, The Real Book Spy reported.
Going by this development, the detective will face legal pressure with the public turning a complete 180 on him. Following that, “Bosch” Season 5 will then introduce the investigator’s defense attorney. In the books, he was represented by his half-brother Mickey Haller. If the name sounds familiar, he’s the main character in the movie “The Lincoln Lawyer” and was played by Matthew McConaughey.
And no, McConaughey will not be appearing in “Bosch” Season 5 as much as fans and author Michael Connelly wants the collaboration to occur. The reason for this is due to the fact that Amazon doesn’t own the rights to Haller. Which is a huge shame since a McConaughey and Welliver collaboration would’ve translated so well in television. As such, what’s likely going to happen is that attorney Honey Chandler (Mimi Rogers) will represent Bosch in court.
What’s more, their efforts to clear the detective’s name will be aided by one Hector Bonner (Ryan Hurts). Hurst is the newest addition in the cast of “Bosch” Season 5 and will play an investigator who’s working for Chandler, Den of Geek reported.
Together, the three will launch an investigation that will counter the evidence that will be presented by the inmate. What’s really interesting about “Bosch” Season 5 is not only the public uproar but also the outrage of the prisoners that the detective put behind bars. If Bosch’s reputation is tarnished, they too can claim that they’ve been framed by the detective. Everything can spiral out of control from there.
Of course, that will not happen. The exciting thing about “Bosch” Season 5 is how they’ll clear the name of the detective and prove that the inmate is nothing more than a two-bit liar. As for the release date of the fifth installment, nothing has been confirmed just yet. However, given that production already wrapped up, it’s safe to assume that it will come out in April, similar to how Amazon handled the last two seasons.
