Manga fans around the world are still waiting on the digital release of “Boruto” chapter 48. Thanks to leaked scans, however, they can now confirm that an even bigger fight awaits as Isshiki goes to Konoha, where Naruto and Sasuke prepare for another battle.
‘Boruto’ chapter 48 leaks: Isshiki vs. Naruto and Sasuke, Part 2
It does not come as a surprise that Isshiki will defeat Kashin Koji without much effort, especially after the Otsutsuki family member completely overwritten Jigen’s body. The first panels of the leaked scanned pages of “Boruto” chapter 48 feature their fight, and Kashin will not give up without putting up a fight. But Isshiki is simply too powerful.
Isshiki also reiterates that Jigen’s body will be obliterated in two to three days because it cannot contain Isshiki’s full power. This explains why Isshiki wastes no time and goes to Konoha right after defeating Kashin in “Boruto” chapter 48.
The final panels of “Boruto” chapter 48 show Isshiki arriving in Konoha with Naruto and Sasuke already expecting his arrival. The first time they fought, Naruto and Sasuke were left in very bad shape. Fans can only imagine how difficult this fight is going to be for the duo now that Isshiki has completely transformed into Jigen’s body.
However, Naruto and Sasuke have one advantage right now, and that is to make sure they both last for the next few days until Jigen’s body can no longer contain Isshiki’s power. They also have to sustain the fight before Isshiki can put karma on Kawaki again. It is the only way to make sure Isshiki is truly defeated with no chances of getting resurrected. But if anyone can recall the flashforward scene at the beginning of the series, the odds do not seem to be in Konoha’s favor.
‘Boruto’ chapter 48 release date, where to read
“Boruto” chapter 48 is confirmed to be released in the final hours of Monday, July 20. While the leaks show the complete panels of the chapter, they do not have the official English translations. So fans are still encouraged to support the official digital release of the chapter that they can access on Manga Plus and Shonen Jump.

“Boruto” chapter 48 will also give an update on what’s happening back in Konoha while Isshiki and Kashin’s fight is still going on. Amado signs the paper making his asylum official. Conditions of his asylum include not being allowed to leave Konoha’s territory without Shikamaru’s or Naruto’s approval. He can use Konoha’s research facility but only when Katasuke is around. Amado then reveals that the “bomb” around Shikadai’s neck was fake. During Isshiki and Kashin’s fight, the former also makes a comment suggesting that Amado went to Konoha because he truly wants to see Isshiki defeated.
