The current Mitsuki arc in “Boruto” has gone on for so long that a lot of fans have expressed abandonment in terms of investing in the story. This is sad because “Boruto” Episode 90 is where Mitsuki finally makes his choice to fight his new friend. What’s more, it would appear that the entire force of the Hidden Stone village has been mobilized; it’s about time too.
As the “Boruto” Episode 90 promo clip below shows, it would seem that the end is near for this long arc that many fans have now come to hate. It will come closer to its conclusion with Mitsuki making the difficult choice to fight the puppet that has now become his friend, Comic Book reports. On the other hand, this is hardly justification for turning his back on Boruto and Sarada.
So, what does this mean for the anime? To start with, the Mitsuki arc might finally conclude after one or two episodes following “Boruto” Episode 90. This is not something that a lot of fans might want to hear, but it is what it is. The fact of the matter is that the animators don’t have a lot of content to work with right now since the manga is only on its 31st chapter.
As such, viewers can expect a lot more fillers like those they have been producing, so far. For those who have stuck around and are actually interested in what happens with the Mitsuki arc, “Boruto” Episode 90 should prove to be an emotional episode. For everyone else, it’s another painful trudge through the swamp that is “Boruto” fillers.
“Boruto” Episode 90 will be hitting the small screen on Jan. 20. If nothing else, fans will soon get their wish for this particular story in the anime to wrap up so that a new one can start.
