A lot of franchise fans have been looking forward to the day when they can return to the world of Pandora and start shooting bandit midgets in a way that will set them on fire. “Borderlands 3” is the game that will allow them to do that and it would appear that it’s going to be released this year. It’s either this or the new “Bioshock” game that 2K Games has been working on.
As GameRant reports, Take-Two recently had a financial report discussion where it was announced that the games set for release are on schedule to do so. These include “The Outer Worlds” and “Ancestors: The Humankind Legacy.” However, it is the unannounced AAA game that is coming out between 2019 and early 2020 that is gaining the most attention since it could be “Borderlands 3.”
Now, it’s worth pointing out that there have been no official announcements with regards to this particular topic. It could be “Borderlands 3” or it could be something else entirely. However, it would appear that Take-Two expects a lot from this game, if the comments made by the company’s President, Karl Slatoff is anything to go by.
"In addition, the unannounced title from one of 2K's biggest and most beloved franchise remains on track for launch during fiscal 2020. 2K will have more to share in the coming months," he said.
As for the possibility of this being a new “Bioshock” game instead of “Borderlands 3,” the chances of this happening appears to be slim. For one thing, the stylized shooter game has already been announced and teased to the public. On the other hand, the follow-up to the underwater and then later the sky dystopian shooter has yet to offer anything concrete.
Taking all of these into consideration, the mysterious AAA game could only be “Borderlands 3.” If it is, fans might just get to play it in 2019.
