Asta and Noelle’s current mission is anything but simple. Their goal of rescuing Secre and retrieving Asta’s grimoire is bringing them closer to the Spade Kingdom in “Black Clover” episode 147.
‘Black Clover’ episode 147 spoilers, preview
A group of civilians who called themselves Devil Banishers initially appeared to be the enemies in the current arc, but they turned out to be just one piece of the puzzle. It has since been revealed that their members and leaders were tricked into kidnapping Secre and stealing Asta’s five-leaf grimoire by the real bad guys called the Devil Believers. The Believers now have possession of both and Magic Emperor Julius Novachrono believes they are headed to the Spade Kingdom to ally themselves with the devil Megicula.
“Black Clover” episode 147 will pick up from the revelation that the Believers were able to recruit several hundreds of new members in only a matter of days. Based on the reported synopsis of the episode, the assumptions of Julius are correct about the group and what they plan to do with Secre and Asta’s grimoire.
The brief video teaser for “Black Clover” episode 147 confirms that Asta and Noelle will be able to track down the group and figure out they are headed to the Spade Kingdom. The trailer also hints Dazu and Bow will still be at the center of all these events. It can be recalled that these women are playing key roles in the operations of the Believers and in potentially seeking help from Megicula to acquire magic powers even though they were born as commoners.
Since the Believers are also civilians, it is not surprising that Asta and Noelle are unable to just use their spells to stop them. As mentioned, the group has also grown in number making it more challenging to stop them or even rescue Secre. The teaser for what happens after “Black Clover” episode 147 also suggests that Asta and Noelle will not be successful and would even become prisoners of the Believers. It then begs the question of whether or not anime viewers will get an early glimpse of the Spade Kingdom, Megicula, or the Dark Triad – all these were only revealed in the manga after the six-month timeskip.
‘Black Clover’ episode 147 release date, where to watch
The anime has not been on any break since the airing of original episodes resumed in summer following a broadcast suspension caused by COVID-19. It now appears that the rest of the show’s third season will be composed of canon anime-original episodes that take place before the Clover and Heart Kingdom advance to attack the Spade Kingdom.
“Black Clover” episode 147 will be released on Tuesday, Oct. 13. Fans outside Japan can watch new episodes through a simulcast on the streaming platform Crunchyroll.
