Someone very important is literally coming back from the dead in “Black Clover” episode 121. Julius Novachrono is going to revive himself, but he returns to the Clover Kingdom bearing bad news, three to be exact, which explains the episode title “Three Problems.”
‘Black Clover’ episode 121 spoilers: Julius Novachrono is alive and announces three problems
One of the biggest surprises in “Black Clover” episode 121 is the return of Julius. There is a catch in his resurrection, though, as the storing magic tool Swallowtail and his Time Magic was only able to restore his younger physical form. Once Julius returns to the Clover Kingdom with Yami, he summons Asta, Secre, Noelle, and Mimosa to inform them about the three problems following their battle with the Devil and the reincarnated elves.
The first problem is going to be the lack of Wizard King -- Julius points out in “Black Clover” episode 121 that he was not able to fully restore his grimoire while the nobles’ leadership is under question. The second and third problems are related and could both happen.
Julius predicts in “Black Clover” episode 121 that Asta is going to die due to his anti-magic, which the Wizard King confirms is coming from a Devil as well. At this point, Asta confirms that he does feel muscle pains after excessively using his anti-magic abilities. This prompts Yami to make fun of Asta as Julius’ predictions are rarely wrong while acting disgusted at Asta for being linked to a Devil.
The other problem is that Julius sees into the future that the Clover Kingdom is under threat. Their country could be destroyed in an attack of a foreign kingdom, which Asta suspects could be the Diamond Kingdom. “Black Clover” episode 121 will also explain that Asta’s horns have a deeper meaning about his source of anti-magic while Julius reiterates that their second and third problem could both happen.
‘Black Clover’ episode 121 release date
Fortunately, there will not be a hiatus before the airing of “Black Clover” episode 121, even though it marks the start of a new story arc. “Three Problems” will be released on Tuesday, Feb. 11. It should be simulcast on official channels as the episode drops in Japan.
