“Better Call Saul” season 5 is finally coming soon after being delayed for quite some time. Although the filming for this drama concluded in September, it was revealed that it should have been completed and premiered earlier.
Sarah Bennet, AMC president of the entertainment networks told Vulture that they needed to delay “Better Call Saul” season 5 due to “talents needs.” But she confirmed that it is coming out in a few weeks. “We said on our most recent earnings call that the series would come back for season five next year,” she said a few months ago.
Spoilers - Teaser disclosed what to expect in the premiere
Last month, AMC released the official video trailer of “Better Call Saul” season 5 and fans were able to see what they can expect from the upcoming installment. The short clip which is apparently, the first episode is called “Joyride” and it showed Jimmy McGill sitting in a car being driven by a man that appears to be part of a thug group.
He was brought to an unknown place and McGill is confused. He also appeared to be scared a bit since there are guns pointing at him around the vehicle.
The scene seems to be hinting that he is on his way to see someone, probably, a person who committed a heavy crime, and he would be asked to defend him. He will be stirred by the money he will earn and this will be the beginning of his transformation to Saul Goodman. From there, he would only defend the bad guys and it is likely that he would lose his friends and colleagues who oppose the idea of being corrupt, especially in their line of work.
The confirmed cast
“Better Call Saul” season 5 will be featuring most of the regular characters from the previous seasons. Few of the already confirmed ones based on the released photo teasers for the new installment are Nacho (Michael Mando), Huell (Lavell Maurice Crawford), Mike (Jonathan Banks), Gus (Giancarlo Esposito) and Kim (Rhea Seehorn). Bod Odenkirk will return as the lead star playing McGill and Goodman.
“Better Call Saul” season 5 will premiere on Feb. 23 at 10 p.m.
