Will we see Walter White on TV soon? As Season 3 of “Better Call Saul” starts in the next three weeks, one would think that the “Breaking Bad” anti-hero is due to appear in the series.
IBTimes reports that the upcoming season will focus on Saul Goodman’s (Bob Odenkirk) transformation into the badass, go-to lawyer for criminals. Creator Vince Gilligan said he and his team initially struggled with writing for Season 3. But he assured that fans will love the show’s direction.
“But I have to say, this season, as it progressed, I started to understand it a little bit better. It takes a lot of pressure to turn a lump of coal into a diamond, and it turns out a hell of a lot of pressure to turn a good man -- or least a decent one like Jimmy McGill -- into Saul Goodman,” he told Eurweb.
As for Bryan Cranston, who played White in “Breaking Bad,” he had an idea how the show will introduce his character in recognition of the “Better Call Saul” brand. He said, “What if it’s just a brush-by?Just two guys in a market. ‘Are those ripe?’ ‘I don’t know.’ And we don’t even register that we knew each other three years before we see each other again. That’s life. It’s actually very honest that this happens. So the bottom line is I would do it in a second. If Vince wanted me to be on the show, I’d be on the show.”
Season 3 of “Better Call Saul” will debut on April 10 on US network AMC.
