“Better Call Saul” Season 5 will be an exciting installment for the series as Slippin’ Jimmy (Bob Odenkirk) will finally making a full transition to his Saul Goodman persona. The finale of the fourth entry has nicely set this up after the conman managed to fool the panel and convince them to reinstate him in his position.
As such, the relationship between Jimmy and Kim (Rhea Seehorn) will be taking a hit as well. Indeed, Kim seeing Jimmy’s conniving ways in the previous installment, was one of the highlights of the series and showcased the spiral that the protagonist will dive into. It’s for this reason that many are fearing for Kim in “Better Call Saul” Season 5.
While many of the show’s character has been taken from the “Breaking Bad” series, Kim is one of the few who is a new addition for the spinoff. It’s unclear how the showrunners will handle her story in “Better Call Saul” Season 5, but they did hint that she may be facing a fate worse than death.
Better Call Saul Season 5 to kill Kim?
What that means is anyone’s guess at the moment since the writers are doing everything they can to keep everything under wraps. Even Seehorn herself is apprehensive what “Better Call Saul” Season 5 is going to do with her character, Cinema Blend reported.
“With [show-creators] Peter [Gould] and Vince [Gilligan], you never know what they're going to say that's going to elicit that squirrelly brain of yours that's like, "Oh, he's going to kill me,” Seehorn said. If “Better Call Saul” Season 5 will indeed be ending Kim’s story, does this mean the end is near?
Yes. Gould himself hinted at this fact when he said that they’re planning to end the show with an episode count similar to “Breaking Bad,” which had 62. For perspective, the premiere episode of “Better Call Saul” Season 5 will be its 40th.
Better Call Saul Season 5 likely the end of the series
But AMC itself said that no plans for the series’ ending had been set just yet and there’s a possibility that the showrunners might extend it. Whatever the case, “Better Call Saul” Season 5 will most likely be not the final installment of the show since the story isn’t ripe enough to be pluck from the tree.
The meth-brewing duo hasn’t even made an appearance on the show. With regards to the release date of “Better Call Saul” Season 5, nothing has been confirmed on this front either. But seeing how everything is shaping up, we could be seeing an early 2020 release date, perhaps at the first or second quarter of next year, CheatSheet reported.
