Two weeks ago, Jennifer Garner did an interview with CBS, where the actress spoke about her life, projects, and the hardships she’s enduring following her breakup with Ben Affleck. And despite what tabloids are saying, the “Alias” alum hasn’t turned to Scientology in order to heal her broken heart.
It can be recalled that last year, Gossip Cop called out Star magazine for publishing a piece claiming that Jennifer Garner had joined the religious group in order to take her mind off things. As it turned out, Ben Affleck’s ex-wife had never been seen near any building of the Church of Scientology.
While others might say that she might’ve been secretive about the whole thing, evidence that Jennifer Garner has joined the church hasn’t surfaced either. It’s important to remember this because these gossip magazines have a penchant for recycling stories that other dubious publications are writing about. And with Ben Affleck’s ex-wife having her new movie, “Peppermint,” hitting theaters soon, it’s likely that this rumor is going to be revived by these tabloids.
Jennifer Garner revealed in her interview with CBS how disruptive the gossip media is when it comes to her personal life. She said that during her relationship with Ben Affleck and after they split, paparazzi had been a constant presence outside her home, taking pictures and whatnot.
It was frustrating for the “Elektra” star but thanks to her affection for her kids, Jennifer Garner managed to be sane about it all. In fact, her kids with Ben Affleck are a constant light that gives the actress hope that tomorrow will be better.
That and the fact that her Christian faith is stronger than ever. Even after Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck decided that their relationship wasn’t working, the two have been a nearly consistent presence in their local Methodist church in the Pacific Palisades. This just shows that she didn’t turn to Scientology because she’s undergoing a tough phase in her life and that the source of Jen and Ben’s strength is their love for their children and their faith in their religion.
