Barron Trump was revealed to have tested positive for COVID-19. It was the First Lady Melania Trump who shared the news with the public.
Melania discloses Barron’s positive diagnosis
On Oct. 14, the FLOTUS released an account of her personal experience in her battle with the coronavirus. She said that she has recovered from the highly contagious disease; however, she shared that her son Barron Trump tested positive.
She said that when she first tested positive for COVID-19, she immediately thought about Barron but she felt a great sense of relief when he tested negative. But then, her worries persisted since she doesn’t know what can happen tomorrow or the next day after that. Her nightmare came true when her son was tested again and the results was positive.
“I couldn’t help but think “what about tomorrow or the next day?” the First Lady wrote in a post that was published on White House’s official page. “My fear came true when he was tested again and it came up positive. Luckily he is a strong teenager and exhibited no symptoms.”
She added that if there is something that she can be happy about being diagnosed with COVID-19 alongside her husband Donald Trump and son Barron Trump, she was glad that the three of them went through and battled the disease together at the same time. This allowed them to take care of each other and spend time together as well since they are quarantining together.
Barron’s health update
It turned out that Barron Trump tested positive around the same time as his parents. And after days of treatment and isolation, Melania said that her son is now COVID-19 free like her.
When Melania and the POTUS confirmed their positive diagnosis on the same day, two weeks ago, it was first reported that Barron Trump and his half-siblings including Tiffany and Ivanka Trump were negative.
The White House or the First Couple never gave an update when the 14-year-old tested positive later. Thus, this is the first time that everyone has learned about the teenager’s health condition. The president also told the media earlier today that his son is fine.
